The 2023 Inaugural Wayne County Amateur has come to a close. Chippewa Golf Club was proud to collaborate with The Pines Golf Club to bring an event to the people of Wayne County. Also, a big shout out to Junipers Restaurant for providing an excellent buffet style dinner for the players. We want to thank everyone who came out to participate in the tournament. We are already brainstorming ways to make the event bigger in 2024.
Congratulations to Dylan Dunn, a sophomore for the Ashland Eagles, for winning the 2023 Wayne County Amateur with a score of 2-under par 141 to win the tournament by four strokes. Dunn was able to put together two consecutive rounds of 1-under par, and was the only player to shoot under par at the Pines on Sunday.
